Wallet taken
A man reported two men took his wallet from a Cottageville home on May 13.
After paying for a haircut, the resident told him to return to the house late that afternoon. When he went into the home, he said two men reportedly held his arms and took his wallet, which contained $700, his driver’s license, Social Security and Medicare cards. The two men ran into the woods behind the home.
The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
Dodge Ram 3500 taken
A Cottageville resident reported someone took her blue 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 and broke into her residence on May 13.
When she got home that afternoon, she saw the truck was gone and the back window of her home was shattered. Gone were the truck, three speakers, food from two freezers and an unopened bottle of Jack Daniels.
She identified a possible suspect.
Woman leaves with TV
A Cane Branch Road resident was contacted by a woman via Facebook who was interested in purchasing a TV he had for sale on May 13.
The women and a friend came to pick up the TV, which the victim loaded into their truck. However, the woman allegedly left with the television without paying.
Woman reports being swindled
A Walterboro woman reported May 13 that she responded to a post on Colleton Swap Meet about a house for rent at Price’s Bridge Lane.
She claims she sent the man an application fee of $50, plus $1,250 via Cash Out. The man was supposed to mail her the keys, telling the women he lived in Texas. But the keys never came, she reported.
Motorcyle reported stolen
A resident of Forks Road, Islandton, reported a 1986 Honda Goldwing black and gold motorcycle stolen on the night of May 14.
Altima reported stolen
A Belfast Lane, Walterboro, resident reported a burgundy 2011 Nissan Altima stolen on May 16.
