Roof problems
A Smoaks Road resident reportedly contracted with Clayton “Bubba” Lamar Smoak Jr. to make roof repairs on his home. The victim said he agreed to give the man $1,200 for materials, but when he went to the bank to deliver the money, the suspect’s son showed up.
The son reportedly said his father was running late, so he was there to collect the money. He did.
However, no one ever showed up to repair the roof or deliver supplies, the victim said.
Deputies issued a BOLO on the suspect’s vehicle on March 31, but were unable to locate the suspect.
