Mr. Carl Victor Craven, 58, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Tuesday morning, May 23, 2023, at his residence. Carl was born August 22, 1964, in Walterboro, South Carolina and was a son of the late Gruber Talbert Craven and the late Edith Arlene Hamilton Craven-Carroll. He was the husband of Mrs. Felipa Martinez Jurez Craven. Carl was a man that had a passion to help people and with his social personality, he had the ability to cut fool with anyone he knew.  He was adored by so many.  He was known to be a great storyteller and enjoyed entertaining those around him.   Carl worked hard in his life, he like being a mechanic with his friend Richard, driving trucks and construction work over many years.  His passion in a hard day’s work led him to traveling all over the country to work, as well as helping build the Ravenel Bridge in Charleston. He also worked timelessly on the family ranch.  Carl loved his children and family and dearly adored his animals.     Surviving are: his wife, Felipa Martinez Craven; his children, Diane Martinez Craven, Diego Antonio Martinez, Daniel Martinez, Gabriella Martinez, Andres Martinez and Cristina Martinez; his sisters, Samantha Craven, Loraine Crapse and Evelyn Gibson; his brother, Talbert Craven; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his stepmother, Thelma Craven-Gaskin; a brother, Charles T. Craven; and a sister, Irene B. Smith. Graveside services were conducted at 2:30 PM, Sunday afternoon, May 28, 2023, at the Craven’s Rose Garden Cemetery, Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro. The family greeted friends at the gravesite that afternoon beginning at 1:30 PM.  Arrangements By: The Brice W.
