A 72-year-old Walterboro woman died on Dec. 29th when her Toyota Corolla collided with a log truck in the 1100 block of Sniders Highway at about 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29th. Firefighter-Paramedics with Colleton County Fire-Rescue removed the woman from the wreckage and transported her to Colleton Medical Center to be stabilized. She was then flown to a trauma center hospital in Savannah, Georgia. The truck driver was not injured. The Walterboro Police Department is investigating the accident.
