Mrs. Barbara M. Crabb, 80, of Cottageville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 31, 2024, at her residence. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben Smith and Ruth Lucille Bailey; her children, Gloria Smith and Lisa Horner; her brother, Ruben “Ben” Smith; her sisters, Gail Dodds and Sheila Jaskiewiez; and two grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Mr. Ken Crabb; her three sons, David Crabb (Michelle), Ken Crabb, Jr., and Wesley Crabb; two brothers, Woodrow J. Crosby and Greogry W. Anderson; twelve grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Barbara was born in Beaufort, South Carolina on December 6, 1944. She was the manager of twelve years at Video Station in Cottageville. She loved crafts and spent many years with her husband working craft shows. She also loved growing flowers in her lush garden, but most importantly her favorite thing was spending time with her family; especially at the annual Crabb Christmas party. She never met a stranger and everyone that knew her loved her. Funeral services were conducted at 3 o’clock Monday afternoon, January 6, 2025, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
