Colleton Prep Academy held its 2019-20 Winter Sports Awards Wednesday June 17 via Zoom in order to adhere to social-distancing.
The following student-athletes were recognized for outstanding effort throughout the season:
Middle School Boys Basketball: MVP – Bryce Kinard; Best Offense – Braeden Hiers; and Best Defense – Walker Bryan.
JV Boys Basketball: Most Valuable Offense – Wylan Sheffield; Most Valuable Defense – Noah Catterton; and Most Improved – Cole Davis.
Middle School Girls Basketball: Offensive MVP – Anne Hatcher White; Defensive MVP – Ava Murray; and Coaches Award – Layla Bishop.
JV Girls Basketball: Most Valuable Offense – Kayla Banks; Most Valuable Defense – Lana Catterton; and Most Improved – Naomi Vega.
Varsity Girls Basketball: Most Valuable Player – Heather Davis; Offensive MVP – Langley Harter; Defensive MVP – Taylor Tomedolskey; and No Surrender – Rachel Wright.
Varsity Boys Basketball: Most Valuable Player – John Tomedolskey; 6th Man of the Year – Clay Griffin; No Surrender Award – Kyle Hooker; and Future Award – Wylan Sheffield.
Varsity Wrestling: Rookie of the Year – Francis Blubaugh; No Surrender – Thomas Craven; Captain’s Award – Ryan Mcmillen; Wrestler of the Year – Carter Sims; and Coaches Award – Nathaniel Blubaugh.
Equestrian Award – Haley Bootle
Senior Basketball Award: Langley Harter - 1,000+ Points Club; Team Captain 2019, 2020; All Region 2017, 2018; Most Valuable Defensive Player 2017; Most Valuable Offense 2018; Most Valuable Offense 2019-20; SCISA North/South All Star Team 2018, 2019; All Classic All-Tournament Team 2018; High School Sports Report All State Team 2018-19; and CPA Christmas Tournament MVP 2019.
