It was an opportunity for five Colleton County Cougar football players to strap on their helmets one more time to finish out their high school careers and be seen by potential college coaches.

Saturday Jan. 11, defensive lineman Malcolm Greene, wide receiver Jeremiah Mosley, offensive lineman Loushon Campos, wide receiver Trakell Murray and defensive back Ja’carre Stevens traveled to Memorial Stadium in Savannah, Ga., to participate in the third annual Blitz Border Bowl presented by WSAV and the Savannah Morning News.

The game featured some of the top senior talent from across the Lowcountry and pitted them against a Georgia squad. Proceeds from the game benefitted the Ronald McDonald House.

Team Lowcountry was coached by Whale Branch coach Jerry Hatcher who led his team to a 7-5 record and a playoff appearance this season.
