Mr. Ed Ray Cook of Moselle Road in Islandton, died Saturday, May 13, 2023, in the afternoon at the Medical University Hospital in Charleston.
Mr. Cook was born May 21, 1941 in Moselle, a son of the late Walter Cook and Daisy Sullivan Cook. He had worked at the Westinghouse Plant as a Fork Lift Operator, and also served as a Minister with the Church of God of Prophecy.
Surviving are:  Son:  Troy Cook of Denmark; Daughter:  Cynthia Ray Cook of Moselle, Sister:  Faye Bouknight of Columbia; and a Grandson:  Conrad Ehrhardt of Moselle. Mr. Cook was predeceased by his parents; His wife:  Marvis Jean Droze Cook; Sisters:  Nell Gates, Urell Stone, Trudy Dobson, and Daisy Mae Cook; Brothers:  Henry Cook and Daniel Cook. Funeral services was at 2 P. M. Saturday, May 20, 2023, in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Michael Polk, Rev. Jackson, and Rev. Michael Droze, with burial in the Carters Ford Cemetery near Lodge, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home. Visitation was Saturday prior to the services beginning at 1 P. M. at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
