The local store Consignment Envy has decided to close its doors in response to the Corvid-19 epidemic, but is listing items for sale on Facebook for shoppers.
On March 17, Consignment Envy owner Annette Davis Bradley issued the following statement in regards to the national and state mandates.

“Concerning the state of emergency in South Carolina, as of Sunday, our governor has closed the schools until the end of March. Consignment Envy wishes to adhere to all of the guidelines of the coronavirus and act in the best interest of the citizens of South Carolina and our community. Based on the facts that schools are being closed, we find the necessity to close our doors as well. Though we may not completely understand all of the reasoning behind the closures, we will never bring harm to our employees or clients, so we will follow suit,” said Bradley.
“Should closing our doors for two weeks help slow the progression of the virus then we will gladly do so. Unless something changes in the news, as of Thursday March 19, we will not be open in to the general public. We will however list our items online on our Facebook page and marketplace, and clients interested in an item need only to comment. We will try diligently to stay updated on this horrific situation for all of our consigners. Please know that we will do everything within our power to continue to sell your items at a profit as well as sell to the general population at a savings. Good luck and everyone be safe,” she added.
