Colleton Middle School defeated Lady’s Island Middle School 39-6 at their Homecoming game last week.

CMS saw rushing touchdowns from Mari Brown, Tre Brunson, and Melvin Ancrum. Keandre Allen and Brunson also added receiving touchdowns from quarterbacks Charlie Walker and Gail Frazier.

Defensively, the Cougars were led by Brown, Jamarion Hallman, and Jaxon Tucker recording sacks. Jakell Jenkins and Arjahn Garrett forced fumbles, and Deron Eleazer had a fumble recovery.

“Offensively, we played great. Both quarterbacks Charlie Walker and Gail Frazier showed tremendous poise and leadership in guiding the team downfield to score. We ran the ball well, blocked well and made and made key catches. It was an overall great team effort. Defensively, we also played great. We tackled well, read well, and made key stops to keep the momentum on our side. I could not have asked for a better defensive effort,” said head Coach Jake Jacobs.

The Cougars are now 2-2 on the season and 2-1 in region play. They will play on the road against Whale Branch Middle for the regular season finale on Wednesday October 12, 2022 at 6pm.
