Colleton Library has new adult programming

The Colleton County Memorial Library is starting new adult programming in addition to its programs that focus on children and teenage reading plans.

Elizabeth Laney, adult coordinator, says she has planned an exciting lineup for the next six weeks at the library. Everyone is invited to attend, and of course, anyone needing a library card is welcome to come by at 600 Hampton Street in Walterboro and apply for a card.

African American Genealogy Meetup

On Saturday, January 29 at 1:00 p.m., come and share genealogical strategies and successes with fellow family history researchers. Bring your research or device. The event is free. Register by calling 843-549-5621, extension 3, or email elaney@colletoncounty.org.

Adult Art Party

Tuesday, February 8 at 6:00 p.m., guests can kick back, relax and let local artist Shelby Slaughter guide you in the creation of your own work of art. Writers Who Write
