Whether you’ve been researching your family for years or are just getting started, the Colleton Genealogy Workshop is the place to expand your skills.
The Colleton County Memorial Library and the Colleton Museum & Farmer’s Market welcome you to attend a special FREE workshop on Saturday, November 20th, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at both the library and the museum.
The workshop begins at the Colleton County Memorial Library at 10:00 AM with an introduction to genealogy resources at the library, a genealogy scavenger hunt and door prizes. Lunch will follow at the cafe at the Colleton Museum & Farmer’s Market and a special tour of the museum at 1:00 PM.
“So many people have an interest in learning more about their family and a passion for uncovering their histories. I am one of them. I’ve been researching my family history and others since I was 12,” relates Colleton Memorial Library’s Reference Librarian Elizabeth Laney. “The museum and the library are excited to co-host this event and provide an opportunity for fellow genealogy enthusiasts to gather and learn.”
Registration is now open and is limited to 25 participants. To register call the library at 843-549-5621, ext 3 or the museum at 843-549-2303. The program is free but participants will be responsible for their own lunch at the museum. Masks are currently still required in all Colleton County buildings including the library and the museum.
