On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, Superintendent Jessica Williams and CCSD School Board members Lynn Stroble, Sharon Witkin, Glenn Nixon, & Roman Cunningham joined over 140 school board members and educators from across the state for SCSBA’s annual Lobbying Day at the Capitol. It was a day of face-to-face meetings with House and Senate lawmakers, advocating for key education issues that will impact the future of our district. Mrs. Williams and the CCSD Board Members, along with other SCSBA Region 1 leaders, also met with State Superintendent Ellen Weaver to discuss the needs of rural schools.
