According to the S.C. State Election Commission and scvotes.gov, the official results of the races for Colleton County Clerk of Court and Colleton County Council Seats 23 and 45 are as follows:
For Colleton County Clerk of Court, with 100% of precincts reporting Sherry-Akins Robinson garnered 46.81% of the vote with a total of 880 votes. Wanda Taylor received 40.00% of the vote with 752 votes. Lesley A. Jamison obtained 13.19% percent of the vote. With neither of the two top candidates receiving 50% of the vote, there will be a runoff election June 25.
In the Colleton County Council District Seat 23 primary Phillip M. Taylor, Sr. came away with 56.18% of the vote with 736 votes. Hiram EM Davis received 30.76% with 403 votes. Latosia Simmons garnered 13.05% of the vote with 171 votes.
In the Colleton County Council District Seat 45 primary Johnny Frank received 45.56% of the vote with 744 votes. Mark Williams garnered 24.98% of the vote with 408 votes. William Scott Catterton came in with 14.82% of the vote with 242 votes. Wesley McDonald received 14.64% of the vote with 239 votes. This primary was scheduled for a runoff, but Williams conceded the race.
The results of the June 11 Statewide Primaries have been certified, and the S.C. State Election Commission wants to make sure voters understand the rules for voting in the Runoffs on Tuesday, June 25.

Colleton
Clerk of Court – Democratic
• Voters who voted in the June 11 Primaries are limited to voting in the same party’s Runoff.
• Voters who did not vote in the June 11 Primaries can choose to vote in either party’s Runoff.
Absentee Voting
• The deadline to return an absentee application for the Runoffs was June 14 at 5:00 p.m.
• If you applied for an absentee ballot, you will receive your ballot in the mail soon.
• Once you get your ballot in the mail, complete and return your ballot to your county voter registration office by mail or in person no later than 7:00 p.m. on June 25.
o Be sure to sign the voter’s oath and have the return envelope witnessed.
o Consider returning your ballot in person to ensure timely delivery.
o Photo ID will be required to return your ballot in person.
Early Voting Period
• Wednesday, June 19 – Friday, June 21.
• 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Check scVOTES.gov to get the locations for each county.
Polling Place on Election Day
• Open from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on June 25.
• Check your polling place at scVOTES.gov before leaving to vote.
