The Colleton County Middle School football team defeated Estill Middle School 14-0 Wednesday, October 25 to capture the I-95 League Championship. The win capped off an impressive 5-1 season for the Cougars. Throughout the season CCMS traveled to North District Middle, defeating the Wolverines 2-0. The Cougars hosted Ridgeland Middle the next game, defeating them 52-0, followed by a rematch in Ridgeland, in which the Cougars won 28-12. CCMS then hosted Estill Middle for homecoming, winning 6-0. They wrapped up the regular season taking on Carver Edisto Middle, dropping the contest 6-2. The Championship game featured key defensive plays by Keno Nixon and Naheim Moore, each coming up with interceptions and Ziggy Johnson with a fumble recovery. Offensively, the Cougars were led by Keno Nixon and Christian Brown, each recording rushing touchdowns. Congratulations Colleton County Middle School Cougars!
