On Saturday Nov. 5, the Colleton County High School NJROTC hosted a drill meet at Colleton County High School. There were five schools - Strom Thurmond, Wade Hampton, Silver Bluff, North Augusta and Summerville - which participated in this event.
The schools competed in eight separate events ranging from armed drill to a personnel inspection. The events were judged by nine drill instructors from the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island.
The CCHS NJROTC cadets provided an excellent opportunity for these schools to show their hard work and determination in close-order drill.
The overall winner for this event was North Augusta High School.
