Coach Alexis Ivey has announced that she will step down as women’s head volleyball coach at USC Salkehatchie to accept a head coaching position at Converse College. The resignation is effective June 30.

“This opportunity was too exciting for me to decline. It has been a pleasure working at USC Salkehatchie over the last year, and I appreciate the opportunities that were provided to me,” Ivey said.

Athletics Director Jeremy Joye said he wishes Ivey the best.

“We appreciate all that Coach Ivey did to rebuild the volleyball program and are grateful for her contributions to the athletic program at USC Salkehatchie. An interim coach will be hired as soon as possible, and we anticipate a smooth transition,” Joye said.

Ivey coached the volleyball team for one season with an overall record of 1 – 14.
