On Monday, Nov. 7, City of Walterboro officials signed closing documents on the financing for the purchase of a 2022 E-One Top Mount Commercial Pumper Fire Truck. The total cost of the apparatus is $461,941. The city secured a $50,000 grant from USDA and is financing the remaining $411,941 through South State Bank for a five-year term at an interest rate of 3.35%. The City of Walterboro anticipates taking delivery of the new fire truck in November.
