Mr. Charles Lindbergh Risher of Mt. Carmel Road near Walterboro, died Monday afternoon in the Colleton Medical Center.

Mr. Risher was born Sept. 1, 1933 in Colleton County, a son of the late Julius Nathan Risher and Elizabeth Humphries Risher.  He had been the Owner and Operator of Rishers Soc Station in Walterboro, and also operated J & R Video and Rishers Golf Cart Shop - Sales and Service.  He was a member and served as a Deacon at the Zion Baptist Church.  He was first married to the late Dot Risher.

Surviving are:  his wife:  Laura Garvin Risher of Walterboro; Daughter: Charlene O’Quinn and husband Mickey of Hendersonville; Step Children; Laura Lynn Fraser and husband Gerald of Ruffin, John Ginn and wife Sara of Williams, and Joe Ginn of Walterboro;  Brother:  Billy Risher and wife Gloria of Walterboro; Sisters:  Sarah Jones of Walterboro and Mary Hughes of Neeses. There are 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 A. M. Thursday in the Zion Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Ricky Crosby and Rev. Ralph Helmey, with burial in the Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 P. M. at Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home in Walterboro.
