CCP&R announces league championships



The Colleton County Parks & Recreation youth baseball and softball spring season recently concluded with post-season playoffs for age divisions. The following teams, represented by their coach’s name, were awarded league championships and runners-up:
Darlings: Samantha Hiott’s team – champion; Greg Langdale team – runner-up
Angels: Kendall Smith’s team – champion; Simeon Hammonds’ team – runner-up
Coach Pitch: Jeremy Langdale’s team – champion; Jack Drawdy’s team – runner-up
Minors: Greg Langdale’s team – champion; Spencer Witkin’s team – runner-up
Majors: Quincy Chisolm’s team – champion; Jason Mathys’ team – runner-up
“Our team loved competing in the end of season tournament held by the Colleton County Parks and Recreation,” said Coach Brandon Grayson of the Majors. “Jacob Singleton earned the start on the mound and did wonderfully for the first two innings. Galil Frazier closed out the game for the save and recorded three hits in the contest. Lucas Pellum also had three hits and scored the winning run with solid base running on a defensive error. Cameron Grayson had two big hits in the game.”
