The Colleton County Middle School Jr. Cougar Basketball team recently finished the 2021-22 season with a 5-2 overall recorded and entered the post-season tournament as the No. 1 seed. Leading scorer for the season was Chris Woods.

“We began the season with a two-game sweep of Lady’s Island,” said Coach DeWayne George. “In the next two games, we were defeated by H.E. McCracken. We then got back on track beating Whale Branch Middle School twice and Beaufort Middle once before the team was placed on quarantine. Our record earned us the No. 1 seed which gave us a bye in the first round, where we will face the winner of the Whale Branch Middle School and Hardeeville Ridgeland game.”

The 2021-22 CCMS roster included Keandre Allen, Kaidyn Ballard-Frazier, Alijah Brown, Dustin Davis, Daylen Ford, Galil Frazier, Zavion Greene, Jamaurie Koger, Jaqueas Martin, Timothy Monroe, Christopher Platts, Jesse Walker, Michael Witkin, and Christopher Woods.
