The Colleton County Lady Cougar varsity volleyball team dropped to 1-6 in Region VII-AAAA competition after losing in straight sets (25-12, 25-12, 25-18) to Lucy Beckham Tuesday Oct. 6 on the road.
Bailey Cox recorded 25 digs on defense and Jordan Slocum had 19 digs.
“Our defense at the net was not up to speed in this game,” said Coach Hannah Perritte. “Our back row had a hard time getting under the ball.”
The Lady Cougars have a busy week on tap with a road game versus Hilton Head scheduled for Tuesday Oct. 13, followed by a home match the next day against Bluffton High School. They will finish their week at home against May River on Thursday Oct. 15.
