The Colleton County volleyball team will host a pre-season volleyball tournament on Saturday Aug. 13 at both gyms at Colleton County High School, as well as the Colleton Middle School gym. Twelve teams are scheduled to participate in the all-day event.
Last year’s winner, Patrick Henry Academy, will be one of the favorites.
CCHS Hanna Perritte, who is beginning her fourth season as head coach of the Cougars, said, “My goal is to improve from last season and to build up this program to a better standard.” To reach that goal, she said she will rely on the leadership of her six seniors: Ashley Sarvis, Carlie Erwin, Jordan Slocum, Jewel Chambers, Hannah Bunton and Autumn Davis.
The Cougars will open their season on August 29 against Goose Creek.
