The Colleton County Track and Field team competed in the Region VII Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic Saturday March 26 at Whale Branch Early College High School in Seabrook. The girls team finished fifth out of eight teams scoring 82 points across 18 events. May River High School girls captured first place with 141 points. The boys finished in sixth place in a field of ten teams with 47 points earned across 18 events.
“We are getting better week by week,” said Coach Courtney Singleton. “The coaches and I are very proud of how our kids performed Saturday. The athletes that placed today qualified for the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic Elite meet scheduled for April 23 at Cane Bay High School.”
Colleton County is slated to compete in the Beaufort Track Classic scheduled to be held Saturday, April 2 at Beaufort High School.
