CCHS honors student-athletes during Cougar Athletic Awards Tailgate

The Colleton County High School Athletic Department held the Cougar Athletic Awards Tailgate on Thursday, May 26 on the school’s campus. 
Joshua Cook was named Male Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year and Sierra Obenaus captured the Female Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year award. 
Bethany Monroe and Adam Buckner were named recipients of the Colleton County High School Athletic Booster Club Scholarship. 
Jaymie Strickland was named Region VII-AAAA Boys 2022 Tennis Coach of the Year. 
The following student-athletes were recognized during the event: 
CCMS Cheer: Team Leadership – Olivia Brown-Green; Team Spirit – Na’Viyae Cunningham; Most Improved – Destiny Davis.
CCMS Volleyball: Good Sportsmanship – Alley Mishoe; Team Leadership – Caroline Spry; Most Improved – Brooklyn Holmes.
CCHS JV Cheer: Cougar Award – Ja’Meshia Stevens; Leadership Award – Victoria Pinckney; Most Improved – India Lewis.
CCHS Varsity Cheer: Captain’s Award – Jiarha Pinckney; Captain’s Award – Genesis Frazier; Cougar Award – Gabby Green; Rising Star – Chrissy Williams.
CCMS Football: Good Sportsmanship – Adam Keen; Team Leadership – Kaiden Frazier; Most Improved – Jayden Hudson.
