The Colleton County School District is moving forward on their process of hiring a new football coach. Applicants have been screened and the district has conducted the first-round interviews. The second round of interviews was scheduled to take place at the end of last week. After the interviews are concluded, the superintendent and the athletic director will be in consultation regarding the next steps for the naming the varsity football coach of Colleton County High School.
The new coach will be replacing Kris Howell who was informed that he would not be returning as the Cougars’ head coach following the end of last football season. The Cougars would finish the year with a record of 1-9
