The Colleton County Cougars traveled to Bluffton, hoping to end the season on a winning note. But the Bobcats defeated the Cougars 52-32, to hand them their sixth straight lost. The Cougars finished the season with a 1-9 overall record and an 0-5 conference record. The Cougars’ only win came against North Charleston earlier in the season.

Friday night was a repeat of past performances for the Cougars. The Cougars gave up a big lead early and then had to play catch-up for the rest of the game. Against Bluffton, the Cougars trailed 31-6 at halftime, a lead that proved that to be too much to overcome.

Despite the loss, Cougar Head Coach Kris Howell praised his offense. “Our quarterback threw for over 300 passing yards and scored a touchdown. We had a running back to rush for 100 yards and two receivers with over 100 yards receiving. Our kicking game continued to improve as both of our kickers did a good job,“ said Howell. “Defensively, we had a hard time stopping them.”

The Cougars will soon be in the weight room hoping to get bigger, faster and stronger for next year.
