Mrs. Carolyn Jordan Carter, 83, of North Charleston, entered into rest Saturday, March 29, 2025, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Mr. James Kirby Carter. Born May 6, 1941, in Royston, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late George Levert Jordan and the late Laura Jean Garner Jordan. She was a longtime member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she formerly sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and was a member of the Women’s Missionary Union. She was an “adopted grandmother” to countless children, all of whom loved her dearly. Surviving are: her children, Rob Carter (Nicole) of Charleston, Rhonda Gwin of North Charleston, and Rebecca Rollings (Randy) of Cayce; and three grandchildren, Margaret Carter, Harrison Carter, and Evelyn Gwin. She was preceded in death by her two siblings, Joyce Jordan and Hugh Jordan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed in her memory to: Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services were held 11 o’clock Wednesday morning, April 2, 2025, from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Walterboro. Interment followed in the churchyard. Arrangements by: The Brice W.
