Mr. Leonard Anthony Carter, 63, of Walterboro, affectionately known to everyone as “Bud”, entered into eternal rest Friday, January 13, 2023, at Colleton Medical Center. Born February 13, 1960, in Walterboro, he was a son of the late William B. Carter and Dorothy Moore Boatfield McAbee. Bud was a great painter and enjoyed his work. He was a member of The Well at Jones Swamp and dearly loved his church and church family. He loved fishing and was a died hard Clemson fan. If you knew Bud, you knew he had the gift of gab and never met a stranger. He loved his family and was always more of a father than an uncle to his nieces and nephews. Surviving are: sister, Joyce Myers of New Hope; brother, Alvin Carter of St. Matthews; nieces, Shelly Hoff, Ann Smith (Billy), Mikayla Carter, Kristina Carter; and nephews, Alvin K. Carter, II, Ikel Carter, Igel Carter, Billy Coggins, Allen Coggins, Jason Myers, Robert Myers, and David Myers. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Lynn Bazzle, Michael Carter, Keith Carter, Bill Carter, Jerome Carter, Al Carter, and Donna Hiers. A memorial service will be held 2 o’clock, Sunday, January 21, 2023 at The Well at Jones Swamp, 320 Jones Swamp Road, Walterboro. Arrangements By: The Brice W.
