The Carolina Reds U-14 baseball team participated in their first 2022 tournament of the summer, earning a championship title in the War on the Shore Global NIT.
The tournament was held May 14-15 at the Ace Basin Sports Complex in Walterboro.
The Reds lost to Summerville Heat and Charleston Braves Blue Walker on Saturday. In bracket play Sunday, the Reds rallied to defeat the Charleston Braves 10-2. Advancing to the championship, the Reds earned an 8-6 win over the Summerville Heat.
The Carolina Reds are coached by Jack Drawdy, Scott Owens, and Keith Jirel.
