Carl Russell Null , 70,  of Cottageville, South Carolina, went to be with his Lord on October 12, 2020.  He passed peacefully at home with his family at his side.

He was born December 02, 1949 in Salamanca, New York to Muerle Gilbert Null and John Russell Null.  He was of the Methodist faith.

Carl was raised in Columbiana Ohio.   He served in the US Army during the Vietnam era.  He was an over the road truck driver, later finding his calling as a CDL instructor.  He enjoyed hauling sailboats to boat races, sailing, and preparing boats in Key West for race season. Together with his beloved wife of 35 years, the former Linda Rapp, they owned and operated Old Farm Bed and Breakfast where Carl enjoyed his role as host

. He loved his family first and foremost. Carl never met a stranger and put many miles on his motorhome making many friends along the way.  He was a member of the Walterboro Elks Lodge and American Legion Post 90.  He was a member of the Zoning Board of Adjustments for the town of Cottageville.  He was also a member of the Columbiana Clowns in Columbiana (you know who you are) and “Over the Hill Gang” of Arrowhead Drive.

Along with his wife, he will be deeply missed and survived by children Heidi (John) Dailey of Lisbon, OH;  Wendy (Chris) Andric of Lisbon, OH, Jason Hanley of Corpus Cristi, Tx;  Derek (Leslie) Hanley of Sevierville, TN,  Chad Null of East Palestine, Oh ;  grandchildren,  Samantha  (Ashley) Dailey,  Hayleigh Harmon, Heath Harmon,  Justin Zarnosky,  Sierra Zarnosky, Misty Hanley, Jesse Hanley, Heaven Hanley, Aidan Null,  Landen Dailey, and Kailayah Hanley; a sister, Margaret Wyatt of New Middletown, OH and several nieces and nephews.  He will be deeply missed by his toy poodle, Snowi, that stayed by his side throughout his journey and the cats Lexi, and Captain Sparky.

Along with his parents, he is predeceased by a son, Robert R. Null; brother, Judge Lyndon Wyatt; a sister, Mildred Pauley; and brothers, William and Glen Saunders,  and granddaughter, Sophia Null. 

A visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 till 8:00pm at Parker Rhoden Funeral Home in Walterboro, SC.  He will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be a later date in Ohio.
