Mr. Butchie Leroy Ginn, affectionately known as “Butch”, peacefully entered into his heavenly home Thursday night, August 5, 2021. Born November 26, 1953, the son of the late Martin Henry Ginn and Lois Irene Jenness Ginn, he was 67 years old.

Butch lived his life on his own terms, with a loving heart and a soul full of fire. He had a passion for life and the people in it. His years spent as a paramedic and paramedic instructor, serving the public and his students, were some of the happiest and most rewarding times of his life.  He enjoyed photography, Carolina Gamecock and NY Jets football, and hosted a multitude of animals and wildlife over the years.  He truly loved spending time with his family and friends, especially time spent with the late Don Parker, as well as his faithful friend, J.T. Moseley and his family.

Butch leaves behind his children, Cindy Ginn (Edward), Nicholas Ginn (Shannon), Jeremy Ginn, Ben Ginn, Shannon Ginn (Melissa); his grandchildren, Kaylie Cook (Axl), Devan Malphrus (Arianna), J.T. Glick (Aspen), Dawson Glick, Austin Ginn, Wesley Ginn, Rylee Ginn, Olivia Ginn, Shane, Brett, and Emelia; two great grandchildren, Dekklan Cook and Zeplyn Cook; as well as his loving and devoted sister, Barbara Thomas; niece, Christy Freeman (Brian); nephew, Luke Hiers (Jessie); and great nephew, Lucas Hiers.

Funeral services will be held at 5 o’clock, Tuesday evening, August 10, 2021, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Varnville.  Interment will follow in Nixville Baptist Church Cemetery.
