The 2025 Rice Festival Committee selected Bubba Trippe as the Grand Marshal of the 50th Annual Rice Festival. Trippe joined the Rice Festival Committee in 2007 and later became the Chairman and Events Coordinator. He served on the festival committee for 15 years and had an enormous impact on the festival joining the committee at a time that the festival was rebuilding. He helped establish the Tour de Lowcountry and worked with the committee to bring back the Fireworks as well as a larger carnival. Trippe says, “I’m just honored to be selected at the Grand Marshal for the 50th Annual Rice Festival.” The Parade will take place on Saturday, April 26th. The parade route will follow the traditional route on Jefferies Boulevard and turn onto West Washington Street taking to Parade down the Hargo Hill.
