RUFFIN – Mrs. Beverly Nelson Thomas, 91, of Ruffin, entered into rest Tuesday morning, December 31, 2019, at Pruitt Health Care in Walterboro. She was the wife of the late Mr. Riddick David Thomas, Sr.
Born August 11, 1928, in Mitchell, South Dakota, she was a daughter of the late Axel Nelson and the late Hattie Gherke Nelson.
Flowers will be accepted, or for those that wish, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to: Friends of Colleton County Animal Shelter, 33 Poor Farm Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
Funeral services were conducted 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, January 3, 2019, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Dr. Jack Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Untied Methodist Churchyard, 19362 Lowcountry Highway, Ruffin.
