Bank of the Lowcountry Welcomes Fred Austin

PRESS RELEASE. Bank of the Lowcountry officials announce Fred Austin as the company’s new Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer.

Austin will be responsible for all financial aspects of the bank and will serve as a member of the executive management team. In this role, he will work closely with senior management and the Board of Directors. He will be located in the Walterboro market.

“As our company grows, it is critical we add strategic talent to help enable our continued success. We are fortunate that we have been able to add strong leaders like Fred, along with several other key hires in the last year, to join a very capable management team already in place. We are positioned well for the future,” said CEO Marc Bogan.

Austin is a Certified Public Accountant with 20 years of experience in public accounting and financial institutions. He has held positions in internal auditing, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, and finance and accounting throughout his banking career.

“Being from a small town, I understand the importance of community banking,” Austin ssaid. “Having the experience of working at larger institutions, I can put that knowledge to work for Bank of the Lowcountry.”
