The 2nd annual Cartoberfest was held in Cottageville at the end of October. The event was sponsored by Baer’s Garage and RC’s Station in Cottageville. Cars of all makes and models and in various stages of restoration lined a lot on 17-A. Live music was provided by Jared Petteys and the Headliners and a lemonade stand to keep people cool during the rise in temperatures that weekend. The proceeds from the registration fees, will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and also to local veterans in an equal division. The sponsors look to be back in late October next year, so keep an eye out for the 3rd Cartoberfest in Cottageville.
