A 30-year-old man received suspected serious injuries when the ATV he was riding flipped over and landed on him Sunday Feb. 2 at 6:06 p.m.
The incident occurred in the 200 block of Greenfield Lane near Canadys Crossroads. Firefighter-paramedics found the man lying face down on a dirt road. They treated his injuries and immobilized him prior to transporting him to a nearby field to meet with the CARE Flight medical helicopter. He was flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital in North Charleston.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
Four Fire-Rescue vehicles responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as incident commander.
