On December 10th, 2022, at approximately 4:30 p.m., W.P.D. officers were dispatched to 976 Bells Highway (Bojangles) in reference to two males brandishing assault rifles at the business. Once on scene, Officers could not locate any cooperating witnesses or victims. In the days following the incident, Officers were able to obtain video surveillance from the location showing two individuals carrying assault rifles through the parking lot and into the business. These individuals were identified and determined to be minors. Juvenile procedures have been initiated for the detention and prosecution of the two suspects.
