Jeffery Priester of Walterboro has been arrested and charged with hit and run that resulted in a fatality 2022. The South Carolina Highway Patrol made the arrest.
The victim was Jackie White also of Walterboro. He was a pedestrian at Lakeshore Drive and Industrial Road when he was struck by Priester driving a Honda Accord. After the collision with White, Priester left the scene. White suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
Currently Preister is being held at the Colleton County Detention Center and is awaiting a bond hearing.
