Are you boldly sharing your faith in Jesus Christ? Are you boldly sharing your faith in Jesus Christ?

I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage, that Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. (Philippians 1:20 NIV)

Some things we say or do in life can so easily be done that we don’t even have to take a second look. However, there are some things that we shy away from and get all tensed up to the point that we freeze like a big block of ice.

One thing that Jesus asked His believers to do is to be His witnesses. There are those who are His believers, but when the opportunity presents itself for us to share our faith in Christ Jesus, we clam up as Peter and so many others have done.

In Luke 24:49 (ESV) Jesus commanded, “And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” He further commanded in Acts 1:8 (ESV), “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

If you are ashamed to share your faith in Jesus before men, then He will not recognize you before His Father because He said in Matthew 10:32-33 (ESV): “So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.”

No one is saying that you have to go around with a sign around your neck confessing Christ. Also, no one is saying that in every conversation that you have with someone, you must mention your faith in Jesus Christ. Further, no one is telling you that you have to stand on the street corners day in and day out to confess Christ to others.

Just do what the Word says in II Timothy 2:15 (ESV): “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” In other words, don’t go to God half-stepping, seek God’s approval in the right way, never be ashamed of Him and know the Word so that you can share it boldly as it should be witnessed.

When you share God’s Word, be sure that you know it and what it means, because there are unbelievers out there in the world who are familiar with the Word better than some of us who are born-again believers. Can I get a witness?

According to David Schrock, pastor of preaching and theology at Occoquan Bible Church in Woodbridge, Va., there are five truths about true witnessing:

 Witnessing is personal.

 Witnessing is primarily about the Resurrection.

 Witnessing is Christ-centered.

 Witness is accompanied by the witnessing of the Spirit.

The goal of witnessing is the salvation of others, not just the dissemination of (gospel) information.

Personally, witnessing is about your actions, not just your talking about your faith in Jesus. Remember that on any given day, actions will always speak louder than your words.

If you have a testimony that God tells you can help somebody, you need to share it.

People everywhere are in need of inspiration, motivation, and encouragement. Therefore, stop hiding your testimony! For all you know, your testimony could literally be a life saver for someone. Therefore, are you boldly sharing your faith in Jesus Christ, or are you that weak, timid Christian who is too fearful or arrogantly proud to stand up for Jesus?

Have a wonderfully blessed week, stay safe and never leave home without Him!
