Mrs. Ann Strawn Lyons, 66, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Friday evening, September 17, 2021 at Roper Hospital in Charleston. She was the wife of the late Dowling Webster “Buckshot” Lyons.
Born October 12, 1954 in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late Lemuel Heath “L.H.” Strawn and Luelle Sineath Strawn. She was a member of Ebenezer Christian Church. She loved helping others and making sure her family was taken care of. She enjoyed traveling to the beach and to the mountains but especially loved working in her garden with her flowers. She also loved decorating for every holiday.
Surviving are: her sons, Charles Heath “Bowinkle” Thomas and his wife Jennifer and Shane Lyons, all of Walterboro, grandson, Palmer Rawlings Thomas; sister, Linda Pearson; and many nieces and nephews, including, Carroll “Boogie” Barwick, Sissy Weatherford, Arretha Zeigler, Faye Howard, Kaye Syfrett, Mary Gail Stynchcomb, Annette Guinn, Heather Massey, Kristen Bryan, William Bryan, Jennifer Limehouse, and Joey Pieper. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lee Van Brocklin and Bessie Mae Barwick.
Funeral services will be held 4 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, September 25, 2021 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
