Alyssa Renee O'Quinn passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 23, 2020 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Colleton County. She was 17.
Alyssa was born in Walterboro July 31, 2002. She had just graduated from Colleton County High School, and was to attend the University of South Carolina Salkehatchie Campus in the Fall in preparation for a career in Nursing. There are countless wonderful things that can be said about Alyssa. She possessed an outgoing and "Sunny" personality, and was devoted to her friends. She loved spending time on "Snapchat" and "TikTok", enjoyed spending time at the river, and was formerly a volleyball player for the school. She was a wonderful daughter, and her infectious smile will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her parents, Sheri Hale Dandridge, Aaron Dandridge, and Timothy "Joey" O'Quinn. She has a sister, Amara Dandridge, and her great-grandparents John Bruins and John Hale. Alyssa leaves behind a host of grandparents: Cheryl Libby (Mike), Gary Hale Sr. (Cindy), Loretta Dandridge, Ricky Mixson, Dan Dandridge (Gayle), Jimmy Smoak, and Sandy Crosby. She is also survived by a host of friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends during a time of visitation Monday evening, June 29, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at "Faith Walterboro", 858 Bells Highway in Walterboro. Graveside services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 at the Meeting House Cemetery, near Canadys, with Rev. Daryl Hunt officiating. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
