Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a place in Walterboro that offered free programming geared to all ages? A painting class, Bingo Night, or even a free movie? If this is the type of place your looking for, then head on over to The Colleton County Memorial Library and check out our monthly programming offerings.

Two of our most popular programs include a painting class and a mystery book club. On the third Tuesday of each month from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., Shelby Slaughter of Your Place Art Party leads a guided painting class in a relaxed atmosphere for all skill levels. Last month, attendees enjoyed painting a lovely winter scene to take home and enjoy.

Another popular program is our monthly mystery book club. During our first meeting on January 28, we enjoyed getting to know each other and discussing our January title, The Guest List by Lucy Foley, over snacks and tea. Stop by the Colleton Memorial circulation desk to grab your copy of our February title, The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides, and join us for our next meeting February, 21st.

Not a fan of painting or mysteries? Maybe you’d enjoy our other programming options. From an historical walk downtown Walterboro, Bingo and Trivia Night with prizes, to a 1950s themed movie, the library has something for everyone, including you! For more information, stop by the library, follow the Friends of the Colleton County Memorial Library Facebook page, or call us at 843-549-5621.
