Mr. James Winfred “Wendy” Adams, 67, of Varnville, died Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Born January 12, 1957, in Hampton, he was a son of the late James Fred Adams and Erma Mixson Adams.
Surviving are: wife, Janice Zahler Adams; children, James W. Adams, Jr., Frankie Adams, and Joseph Zahler; brother, Charles “Bubba” Adams; sisters, Nita Gooding (Billy) and Dr. Shirley Dempsey, Chaplain; sister-in-law, Janet Dempsey; aunt, Carolyn Hughes of Varnville; his dear friend, Nancy; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, J.T. Adams.
Funeral services were held 2 pm, Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Cornerstone Faith Church. Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery.
