Four people were injured in a three-vehicle accident on ACE Basin Parkway and Wood Road, March 26th. Colleton County Fire-Rescue discovered the accident shortly after it occurred and began treating the injured. ACE Basin Parkway was blocked by the vehicles and debris. The driver of a Nissan was trapped. Three ambulances responded to the scene. Firefighter-Paramedics used Rescue Tools to extricate the driver of the Nissan. Two patients were transported to the Trauma Center at MUSC and the other two patients were transported to Colleton Medical Center. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
