Two on Chancellor’s List

Megan Newton of Ruffin and William Finigan of Walterboro were named to the Chancellor’s List for the fall 2020 semester at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, N.C. 

The Chancellor’s List is an academic honor awarded to students who achieved a semester GPA of 3.80 or higher on a 4.0 scale.  

Newton is a sophomore majoring in psychology. She is the daughter of Keith and Bonnie Newton and a 2019 graduate of Colleton County High School. Megan is the 2021 drum major of the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band at Western Carolina University. 

Finigan is a freshman music education major.  He is the son of Tom Finigan and a 2020 graduate of Colleton County High School.

Robinson on president’s list

Amiyah D. Robinson of Walterboro has been named to the Spartanburg Methodist College president’s list for grades earned during the fall 2020 academic semester. 

President’s list students have achieved a grade point average of 3.8 or higher.

On honors lists at Abraham Baldwin

Two Colleton County students have been named to the honors lists for the fall semester at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Ga. 

Kayce Bell of Edisto Island was named to the dean’s list.

Carol Gardner of Walterboro was named to the president’s list.

The president’s list requires a perfect 4.0 grade point average. The dean’s list requires a 3.5 or better of a possible 4.0.

On dean’s list at Bob Jones

Rebecca Tisdale of Round O has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Bob Jones University in Greenville.

She is a junior majoring in English.

The list requires a 3.0-3.74 grade point average.
