A Night Full of Stars

Colleton County School District presented “A Night Full of Stars” Thursday, July 20. The night honored the hard work of the teachers and support staff for the Colleton County School District school year 2022-2023. The night began with the seating of the guests with the honorees being escorted to their table by their respective principals. The welcome and invocation was given by Ms. Wilsey Hamilton. Musical selections were sang by Brandon Williams and later in the evening, a duet was performed by Josheen Jenkins and Brandon Williams. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Sharon Baddick announced the nominees for Support Employees of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year. The winner of this achievement went to Carlos Hamlin who is with the Department of Informational Technology. Mr. Hamlin received a crown, sash, and a check for $500 for his achievement.

Assistant Superintendent Baddick then called forth the nominees for Teacher of the Year. The selections were narrowed down to the top three, and the honor went to Ms.Kimberly Woods of Forest Hills Elementary School. She was given a crown, sash, and a check for $1,000.00 for her accomplishments. Congratulations to Mr. Hamlin and Ms. Woods and you are wished great success in the upcoming school year.
