Katherine Richardson turned 100 years old on January 12. She was born in 1922 and worked as a postal carrier in Manhattan, N.Y. Sporting a tiara and sash at her birthday party at Magnolias in Walterboro, the senior care facility celebrated Katherine’s birthday with paper hats, balloons, decorations, music and a huge cake. Richardson’s friends, family and fellow residents celebrated with her.
When asked what her secret was for long life, she responded, “I wish I knew!”
