On April 5th, the 50th Anniversary of the Colleton County Rice Festival Scholarship Pageant filled the Colleton Civic Center in a flurry of boys’ Sunday best, tuile, satin, and silk. Contestants from all over South Carolina took to the stage in their finest and competed for cash prizes, sashes, trophies, and winner of their division. Beauty, Fun-Fashion, Best Hair, Eyes, and Smile were categories the contestants also competed in.

The participants competed in age ranging from 0-11 months to 20 and up for a total of 18 age groups and 82 contestants.

The Miss Rice Festival title was won by Seabrook Polk. A scholarship was awarded to her in loving memory of the 2023 Rice Festival Princess, Carter Greene.

All beauty winners received a beautiful crown, title sash, a trophy, and the opportunity to ride on the Rice Festival’s float in the Rice Festival and the Christmas Parades.

The Pageant Director was Ms. Melissa Goliver. Emcees were Randall Dukes, Director of the USA Elite Miss Pageant and Scott Pfeiffer of The 54s (Entertainment Industry Expert). Judges for the Pageant were Latoya Anderson, Kirk Pfeiffer of The 54s, and USA Elite Miss Lifetime Queen, Tracy Spencer of Spartanburg.
