Several hundred people turned out for the annual Colleton County Veterans Day Career Job Fair and Resource Expo held at the National Guard Armory November 7.
Businesses, law enforcement, schools, and the military were present and ready to encourage people to join in and become a part of their select communities.
People of all ages were there to connect with leaders in industry, while some young people were checking out the sheriff’s department, highway patrol, hospital, Army, National Guard and about 40 other vendors.
The VFW represented its organization, and many visiting veterans walked through the crowded venue wearing their service hats.
The day included door prizes, making connections, and forging future relationships.
The Colleton County Veterans Affairs Office partnered with the Service Member and Family Care (SMFC) Directorate of the South Carolina National Guard, S.C. Department of Employment & Workforce (DEW), S.C. Works and Lowcountry Council of Governments, Amedisys Hospice, Veterans Victory House and the Veterans Council to host the event.
